We have two cats, one that is sort of tortoise shell with long hairs whose
name is Zojirushi (named after my first bread machine (which was a 1.5 pound
loaf Japanese model made by a company called Zojirushi who was more popular for
their rice steamers) because when we got her she was constantly kneading with
her claws in everything she could find, including legs, chests, hair, mostly and
usually in the middle of the night), and another with gray stripes and a permanently kinked tail,
whose name is Mack (because living with him, we quickly realized when we first
got him, would be like living with a Mack truck).

Mack kitten
Aren't kittens adorable? He has two speeds--off and annoy. Here he's demonstrating off. |
Mack kitten
He basically still looks like this when he sleeps. Maybe he's a little bigger now. OK, he's a lot bigger. |
Mack kitten
That's not that big a pillow. It's just a tiny kitten. |
Mack kitten
The green ball is about an inch across. Tiny!! |
Mack kitten
What a face! |
Mack kitten
Peekaboo! |
Mack kitten
Can we bottle that? |
Mack kitten
From an early age, our Mack has always thought the world was his pillow. |
Mack kitten
He's cute when he's hiding. This was his first day with us. |

Mack kitten
Can you tell I like my kitty? |

This picture was so cute I made a skin out of it for my PocketPC. |

Mack at play
He really loves anything on a string. Even though he is about 30 times bigger than he was that first day, he still plays just like this! |

Mack and Zoey
Aren't they cute? |
Mack and Zoe
One pile of kitties, coming up! |
Mack and Zoey
Nap time on the Serengetti. Zoey is short for Zojirushi, by the way. She's VERY camera shy. Not like Mack at all. He's already got an agent. |

Mack and Zoey
No movement at all. Hours go by in this position. Look how the light has changed in this series of pictures. |
Mack and Zoey
There we go, just a little movement. |
Mack and Zoey
Like I said, just a little movement. |
Mack and Zoey
This is the kitties' other favorite spot in the house. This is a kitty hammock and if you have one of these you know the look. If not, SHAME ON YOU. They love it. |
Mack and Zoey
A little movement, but not much, I think I saw. |

Mack and Zoey
The hammock is right over my guitar amp. This is how they respond to my heavy metal jam. When they nap, they NAP. You know cats have a neurotransmitter in their brains like L-tryptophan that makes them HAVE to sleep for 18 hours a day. Ask your vet. I am not making this up. |
